I do believe that the characteristics that define a living thing are correct, but I do not believe that is all that defines you as a living thing.
Living things not only evolve, but adapt to everything around them. As humans, we adapt to locations and situations. Just like creatures in the woods who know to steer clear of a predator, we know to steer clear of someone who looks like they are going to kill us. Our senses are a large part of being alive.
Our bodies are amazing things. The fact that we can survive and fight off viruses shows we are strong. We can't always fight sickness off though, which shows there is room for our bodies to improve and evolve, just like those viruses that adapt to be resistant to vaccines.

Hello to everyone!
Hello everyone! My name is Breanne. I am 20 years old and got married this past June in DisneyWorld. It was a blast! I am in my 3rd year at Sierra and am planning on transferring to Sac State this Fall so I can get my degree in Teaching. I hope to someday be an elementary school teacher. I am still undecided in which grade I want to teach. I work for an afterschool program at a local elementary school. I teach all grades there and I love it. This semester I am taking 10 units to fulfill my transfer requirements. I am taking Comm. 5 and Econ. 1A along with this class. I am taking this class because it fulfilled the requirements for Sac State. I am not too great at Science but I hope that this class will teach me a lot that I can also relay to the kids I teach. I can't wait to meet everyone!
